Article Marketing – Results In One Month?

Getting great SE ranking results in one month with your Article Marketing campaign? I get asked about this a lot by people that are new to Article Marketing.



It's hard to achieve when you first start your article marketing campaign. You might be doing what you think is right, and it’s natural to look for results from your efforts in the early stages of your campaign. But publishing three or four articles is not enough to expect any real results. The truth is that it’s unrealistic to expect substantial results in one month with your Article Marketing by publishing a handful of Articles. The good news is that you’re not doing anything wrong, you just need to do more of it.



To understand how Search Engine rankings work, it helps to know how website marketing works as well.



Time Is On Your Side – It is likely to take 3-4 months for your articles to have an impact on the ranking of your Website, whether you are using article marketing or some other strategy. The reason for this is that the Search Engines do not evaluate incoming links to a site every day. It may even take longer if your site is new, so concentrate on making your Articles the best they can be and forget about your Rankings in the short term.



Be Consistent With Your Publishing – You will need to submit articles consistently over a period of time in order to achieve your Ranking goals. Submitting a small number of articles is not enough to affect search engine rankings. The goal would be to submit 8 articles a month every month for each website that you are marketing. Do that consistently on a long term basis and you will get the excellent results that you seek.



Focus On Your Keywords – You must use your Keywords in the Title of your Article, the Anchor Text and the Body of the Article to optimize search engine ranking for that keyword term.



Changes In Keyword Rankings? – Search Engines are designed to keep their sites "fresh" and "new". They do not want their search results to remain the same over a period of time. They are therefore designed to constantly change and renew search results. Factors that affect your ranking include; changes on your site, changes in the way other sites are linking to you or other external SEO factors, what competitors are doing, and so on.



Ranking change for any amount of different reasons; like what computer you’re viewing them from, or where in the world you’re located; i.e. sites in the US will be different than those in the UK. Your rankings will change, every day if not every hour.



What we are looking for is a great ‘average’ position for your keywords over time, not a constant position. You will from time to time see your keyword position "fall" before they start to rise in the rankings. Don't worry about the temporary drops in your keyword rankings. If your site is genuinely about what you’re trying to rank for, you offer good quality content to people searching for that keyword term, and you use article marketing to help Search Engines understand what your site is about, you'll be #1 before you know it.



If you haven’t submitted enough material yet, you may not be getting the results you want in just one month with your Article Marketing campaign. Don't worry about it at this stage…stay the course! Keep writing and submitting Articles and over time you will see a dramatic improvement in your sites ranking. You may want to see more immediate results but unfortunately that’s not how Article Marketing works in general.
